Rich Edmands is a Master electrician.  He was raised in a family that has 3 generations of Electricians. His Grandfather owned Bethesda Armature Co. inc.. his father owned  W.F. Edmands Electrical Construction Inc. and  he now owns Superior Electrical Service. He started his career while working for his father on his summer vacations.  As a boy growing up in Maryland, he was expected to work when not in school and learned much from his father and grandfather. After graduating High School and college Rich took a position with “Doing Electric inc”. located in Urbana, MD.  From 1983-1984, he worked as an electrician’s apprentice in Residential construction. He also worked in the customer service field at Crestwood & Mountain Village in Frederick. Toward the end of 1984 he took a position with Muscatello Electric in Gaithersburg, MD. from 1984-1987.  Rich worked as a Residential Electrician and foreman. He also attained a Montgomery County Journeymen’s license in 1987.

Eventually, Rich decided to go back to his Grandfathers business, Bethesda Armature Co, Inc, where he worked as a Service Electrician and Foreman in the Washington Metro Area. Rich credits his work at Armature Co for helping him develop his passion for working with people and customer service. He believes this passion separates him from any of his competitors and has allowed him to build his business based on the highest standard of care available. . From 1987 through 1992, Rich worked on numerous Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Projects successfully. Throughout those years he completed numerous trade related CE courses, as well as business and communications courses. He acquired his Master Electricians License in 1991 and founded Superior Electrical Service in October of 1992.
